Making Candles and Filling Orders

The holiday rush has begun!
I spent all day making candles and filling orders... not a bad way to spend a Sunday! This is one of the things that I love about being a work-at-home mom and owning my own business... I can do it all on my own schedule. Some days I spend playing and discovering new techniques and other days (like today) I spend completing the to-do list.

But as soon as the holidays are over, I plan to post more photos of my techniques and show how my candles are made. But for now I must concentrate on the myriad orders that are stacking up!

I'm Back!!

Almost 2 years has passed since my last post and so much has happened! My last post included talk of my dog, Beta who was diagnosed with an incurable terminal illness. I am happy to say that she is alive and doing well. I now have a 9 month old daughter named Luciana. She is the love of my life and can mostly be blamed for my lack of art-making. But now that she has grown a little older, I'm back at it!

Recently I have expanded my knowledge of art-making to include candles. I really enjoy the fact that I won't know what the candle looks like until it slips out of the mold. It is like Christmas morning every time!

These are just a few of the candles that I have made this month. These are in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and 20% of all sales will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
